Litton and Hinton Blewett WI

In July, we visited the beautiful garden of Milton Lodge in Wells.  The owner, Simon Tudway Quilter, welcomed us and told us the history of the house, how it passed into his family in the early 1900s and was subsequently enlarged and the garden created.  The sloping terrain is terraced into three tiers, allowing panoramic views over Wells, Glastonbury and beyond.  The garden was full of colour, and one bed of blue and acid coloured yellow flowers was particularly spectacular.

Then tea and homemade cake was served and we all very much enjoyed the visit.
