Evening entertainment and supper attended by WI members, friends and family. Profit donated to the WI.

On a beautiful August afternoon Our Tea and Chat was held at a members garden.
Delicious cakes were enjoyed by all.

Members enjoyed lunch in the Riggers Restaurant at the College with spectacular views of the Twin Sails Bridge.
After lunch a visit to Poole Quay for the afternoon.

September members enjoyed an Outing to the RNLI College Poole,Dorset.
After a tour around the College members met together for lunch in the Riggers Restaurant.

July 25th
Two teams  from Tatworth the Wicked Imps and The Scintillating Six entered the Somerset Federation County Quiz held at the Lordleaze Hotel Chard organised by Chard WI.
The Scintillating Six Team were the deserved winners of the evening.

Visit to Somerset House, Taunton to view the Exquisite Embroidery on the History of Taunton in Embroidery Panels.
After an enjoyable lunch. A visit to Vivary Park to view the WI Centenary Flower bed.

June 11th
Joining members from all across Somerset on the Somerset Country Federation Public Affairs Team ‘behind the scenes visit to the Houses of Parliament.
Marcus Fysh MP for Yeovil Constituency, Jame Heappey MP for Wells Constituency and David Warburton MP for Somerton and Frome Constituency met the group during the visit.

The ‘Old Time Rags’ gave an impromptu performance enjoyed by all the visitors in the  Marquee

Saturday 28th April

Members  gathered at the West Door of Wells Cathedral proudly displaying The Tatworth WI Banner with members from WI’s all over Somerset to parade through the centre of Wells to St Cuthberts Church to celebrate the Centenary of the Somerset County Federation of Women’s Institutes.

April  Waffa Powell on Lebanese Cuisine, members  busy preparing the ingredients.
Waffa with the aid of a map took us through the regions of the Country that grow the fruit and vegetables use in traditional Lebanese Cookery.
Two dishes were prepared which members were delighted to sample all agreed these were delicious.

ACWW  Women Walk the World day raising £60 for the Somerset WI ACWW   Project.

Tatworth Ladies were  accompanied by Dave walked along the River Lym into Lyme Regis passing by one of the oldest post boxes in the Country.
The Blue Plaque on the wall reads.
“From 1799 to 1853 This  building was the town Post Office. In those days this part of the street was called Horse Street. The wooden Posting Box still in its original place in the wall is one of the oldest in the Country”

Green Heart Bunting

Members  worked together to sew an incredible amount of spectacular bunting using the Green Symbol Heart to draw attention to Climate Change

Centenary Celebration Lunch held Somerset County Cricket Club, Taunton.

Members enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by the excellent and entertaining speaker Ann Widdecombe Politician and Author.
A very memorable occasion enjoyed by all.
